Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Vladimir Filat participated in a joint meeting of he Moldovan government and development partners, held at the Chateau Vartely compound from Orhei, central Moldova, on 19 October, the government's press service has said.

In a speech given at the opening of the meeting, the prime minister thanked those who came out with the idea to meet, as well as those who directly contributed to the event's organization.

Filat said that such a meeting is organized for the first time ever, stressing that he hopes for sincere and productive discussions.

Vladimir Filat specified that a draft plan of stabilizing and restoring the economy is to be discussed at the meeting.

He asked the participants in the event to contribute to improving the document. Vladimir Filat stressed that it is Moldova that needs this plan and not the development partners.

The prime minister said that the government is to approve the plan till late October.
