Chisinau, 18 October /MOLDPRES/- The mediators' and observers' separate consultations with Tiraspol and Chisinau focused on possibility to resume the negotiating process to settle the Transnistrian conflict have failed.

Reintegration Minister Vasile Sova stressed that during the today 5+1 consultations in Odessa, it was not established the date to resume the negotiations in the Transnistrian conflict settlement process in enlarged format.

Sova noted that only Chisinau confirmed its willingness to resume the negotiations, while Tiraspol asked for a certain time to hold additional consultations.

On 18 October, the mediators and observers backed the separate consultations with Reintegration Minister Vasile Sova and a Tiraspol representative at the negotiations, Valeriy Litskay.

The negotiations on the Transnistrian conflict settlement have been suspended in February 2006, because of the tensions existing between the sides in the discussed subjects.
