Moldovan government establishes number of polling stations due to be opened abroad for parliamentary polls

Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/ - Ninety five polling stations will be opened for the 30 November parliamentary elections, under a today's cabinet decision.
Thus, most polling stations will be opened in Italy - 25, followed by Romania with 11 polling stations, USA - 6, Russia and Portugal - 5 in each country, France and Spain - 4 stations in each state. Three polling stations will be opened in the United Kingdom and Canada each. The Moldovans will be able to vote at two polling stations in Israel, Greece, Ukraine, Turkey, the Czech Republic and Germany each. One polling station will be opened in Ireland, China, Belarus, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Poland, Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania, Hungary, Austria, Bulgaria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Qatar and Monaco each.
Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Valeriu Chiveri has said the number of polling stations had been set following an analysis carried out by the Foreign Ministry jointly with the diplomatic and consular missions, Diaspora relations Bureau and Central Electoral Commission.
The polling stations from abroad will carry out their work within the limits of the financial means earmarked in the state budget to this end.
