Almost 35,000 children go to school in first form in Moldova

Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/ - About 35,000 children today went to Moldovan schools and lyceums in the first form for the first time ever. The new 2015-2016 academic year started in the pre-university and higher education institutions of Moldova today.
Data by the Education Ministry shows that over 340,000 children will attend schools this year.
About 31,000 teachers work in more than 1,300 pre-university education institutions of Moldova (primary schools, gymnasiums, lyceums).
Over 1,300 policemen have been mobilized to ensure public order in all Moldovan schools.
