Chisinau, 25 September /MOLDPRES/-The political representatives in Transnistrian settlement process on behalf of Chisinau and Tiraspol, Victor Osipov and Vitalii Ignatiev, held a working meeting today. The officials discussed about ten issues.

The sides tackled the freedom of movement of people from both banks of the Dniestre river, ban on vehicles registered in Transnistrian region to cross the border crossing points between Moldova and Ukraine, economic, transport, telecommunication issues etc.

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Victor Osipov said that "it agreed on approaches due to be sent to the working groups for confidence building in the economic, transport and telecommunication field. We set that next week, these working groups will meet to analyze and elaborate concrete proposals from the experts' viewpoint".

Osipov also said that the people from the left bank of the Dniestre were not affected by the restrictions on movement for vehicles registered in the Transnistrian region. "We believe that Tiraspol exaggerates on this problem. We made a study saying that the residents of the region are affected to a lesser extent than authorities," he said.

Vitalii Ignatiev noted that "dynamics of the meeting of political representatives was at high level, and there is a negative aspect, as the groups of experts responsible for the current issues are seldom meeting."

The political representatives also approached possibility to organise Bavarian Conference that takes place in Germany each year. To this end, it is needed that Chisinau and Tiraspol should reach an advanced stage of preparation of documents.
