Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - About 100 representatives of the business environment from both banks of Dniester will benefit from trainings in business and will have possibility to take part in local fairs, economic assemblies, as well as probations in Austria and Germany, through a  new project financed by the European Union.

At the launch event, the deputy president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Sergiu Harea, stressed that the project would be held in July 2016 – November 2017, within the programme, Support to Confidence Building Measures, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Moldova. The project includes a regional component, to promote exchange of experience and boost cooperation relations between enterprises from both banks of Dniester.

“Enterprises face numerous challenges, and the lack of knowledge of the advantages of the Free Trade Agreement with EU, European Union’s legislation and regulations, lack of qualified labour force, low productivity represent just some of them. Strengthening efforts and creation of value chains by establishing business partners inside the country and internationally would help settle more problems. In this respect, we will give entrepreneurs from both banks of Dniester possibility to get involved in joint activities,” the CCI deputy president noted.

A UNDP Moldova programme manager, Angela Frunze, said the project’s goal was to improve the regional business framework through facilitating interaction between the two banks of Dniester and economic partnership. Study visits, promotion activities, etc. are scheduled within the project, Frunze added.

For his part, the project manager on behalf of CCI, Vasile Nicolae, informed that the trainings would take place in Chisinau, as well as at the branches from Balti, Tighina and Ribnita of the Moldovan Chamber of Trade and Industry. The trainings will be focused on topics regarding initiating in business, energy efficiency, developing business and identifying business partners, promotion on foreign markets, etc.

Also, a professional course will be taught for confectioners and cooks. Except for start-up groups, the other participants will have possibility to make probations in Germany or Austria, and will receive international certificates. Visits to enterprises, participations in bilateral business meetings, as well as in local exhibitions will be organized within the same project,” Vasile Nicolae also said.
