Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/ – The most major oil companies have shown today's fuel prices lower than the limit set yesterday by the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE). Pump prices ranging 15.47 and 15.99 lei per litre for the best sold Premium 95 and 13.49 and 13.80 lei per litre of diesel, according to companies' official sites.

ANRE set the ceiling selling price for Premium-95 petrol at 15.99 lei per litre for 24 August–6 September, against 15.21 lei, and diesel increased to 13,82 lei per litre, against 12,88 lei on the previous period.

Under the Methodology, ANRE every 14 days on Tuesdays sets the ceiling retail selling prices for petrol, diesel and liquefied gas and publishes them on its webpage till 13:00. On the same day, each operator on the oil products market will determine, proceeding from the ceiling prices established by ANRE, the retail selling prices for the oil products, will publish them on its webpage and will post them on informative panels placed at fuel supply stations. The prices set by operators will enter into force and will be applied for all consumers, starting from Wednesday at 00:01 night.
