Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/ - Romania will donate Moldova 96 mini-busses meant for the carriage of pupils; the donation is to be concretized at an enlarged meeting of the two countries’ governments, due in Piatra Neamt, Romania, on 23 March, Romanian Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu has said.

“There are concrete things which we will decide at our tomorrow joint meeting in Piatra Neamt. One of them is related to a donation Romania will make for Moldova – the 96 mini-busses meant for the transportation of pupils,” Grindeanu said in the beginning of a cabinet meeting today.

According to the Romanian PM, this donation is a continuation of a programme from the previous years.

“In the last years, we donated another 100 mini-busses. The relation between Romania and Moldova is a special relation, taking into account the common historical roots and the expectations both the society from Romania and Moldova have. Therefore, we deem it as an extremely important meeting,” Grindeanu said, cited by AGERPRES.

For her part, Romanian Deputy Prime Minister Sevil Shhaideh said the two sides had agreed on the donation based on the exchanges of letters between the governments of Romania and Moldova.

“At the 23 March meeting in Piatra Neamt, we will also agree on the list of settlements where these mini-busses will go. They have been already bought, are prepared, we just have to carry them to Chisinau. So, we hope that, in three weeks at the most, these mini-busses will reach the Great Square from Chisinau, where we will do the effective donation to Moldova’s government,” Sevil Shhaideh said.

Prime Minister Pavel Filip on 23 March will pay a working visit to Romania. After a face-to-face meeting of the Moldovan and Romanian prime ministers, the discussions will continue at a plenary meeting of the two official delegations, in which more ministers will participate.
