Chisinau, 9 August /MOLDPRES/ - The former transports and roads infrastructure minister, Iurie Chirinciuc, has been sentenced to one year and four months of imprisonment in a closed prison, for influence peddling and abuse of power. The sentence was pronounced by magistrates of the Buiucani district court of Chisinau today.

The former transports minister was detained on 27 April, being suspected of having organized a criminal scheme to particularly large amounts of financial sources.
