China donates technical equipment for National Army of Moldova

Chisinau, 29 August /MOLDPRES/- China donated today technical equipment and material goods for the National Army of Moldova.

The batch includes nine minibuses, three ambulances, four refrigerator vehicles, 10 electric generators and spare parts for equipment.

Attending the event, Deputy Defense Minister Gheorghe Galbura said that this aid is an important contribution to the endowment of the National Army, which needs expensive investment. “The donation was based on a common agreement. We are grateful for this help and for other support granted so far”, Galbura said.

For his part, Ambassador of China to Moldova Zhang Yinghong noted that over the past years, military cooperation has become more active, in order to increase confidence between the two states. “Today’s event is very important. We hope this modern technology will be welcome help for your country. China and Moldova have very good bilateral relations over the last 20 years, especially, in the political, economic and humanitarian sectors. These actions are meant to improve citizens’ lives”, he said.

The donation amounts to 15 million lei.
