10:37 | 22.09.2017 Category: Political

Chisinau, 22 September /MOLDPRES/- MP Oleg Ogor announced today he left the faction and the Liberal Party, and will work as a non-affiliated person.

Ogor noted he would further opt “for promises made by the Liberal Party during the electoral campaign and for supporting the European model of the country’s development”.

“For many years we have fought for the national values and Moldova’s rapprochement with the EU. I believe in the principles of liberalism and our attachment to the idea of unification with Romania. I note with great regret that the causes for which I advocate have been totally devalued at the top of the Liberal Party”, the message reads.

On 21 September, Liberal lawmaker Iurie Darda announced he left the faction and the party, saying he would work as unaffiliated.

The PL’s press service specified that after the departure of Oleg Ogor, the Liberals’ faction is made up of nine MPs.

Previously, lawmakers Artur Gutium and Vladimir Cernat have left the PL faction.
