Plan on risk reduction in money laundering to be published in Official Journal of Moldova

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/- The action plan on risk reduction in money laundering and terrorist financing for 2017-2019 will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 13 October.

The document was worked out in the context of conclusion of the national risk assessment process in the field of money laundering and terrorist financing and finalization of the national evaluation report in this regard.

The measures proposed to achieve the main goals of the action plan are: improving the legal framework, identifying and reducing sectoral risks, taking measures to identify beneficiary, improving supervision, reducing cash transactions. Other actions are related to interinstitutional cooperation, technical assurance of law enforcement bodies, prosecutors and judges in the field of parallel financial investigations and recovery of illicit proceeds.

The implementation period of the plan is three years, with a partial coverage of the resources attracted within the external technical assistance projects, as well as within the budgets of the concerned institutions.
