Chisinau, 10 January /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova will have a national register of qualifications, which represents an automated, independent information system for the registration, development and updating of qualifications. A cabinet decision on the establishment of this system will be published in the 11 January issue of Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
Under the document, the register is an instrument for ensuring the quality of the professional training, of transparency and legibility of the vocational education and higher education in the relations with the labour market.
The qualifications of Moldova’s national framework of qualifications will be recorded in the Register. Moldova’s national framework of qualifications (CNCRM) represents a national single system of qualifications, which comprises all levels and forms of education and is aimed at meeting concrete needs in qualified staff of the labour market. The system’s goal is also to back national policies and strategies in the education sector and professional training, in line with the European policies in this field.
The creation of the national register of qualifications is prompted by the lack of a single system of informing with reference to CNCRM qualifications, of a systematization of the national professional qualifications, depending on the qualification levels and professional training sectors. At the same time, there is no structured information about the results of the studying according to the syllabi of professional training, provided by the vocational and higher education institutions. The access of the wide public to the structured information on the providers of professional training services and professional qualifications offered by them is limited.
The control over the way of keeping the national register of qualifications is exercised by the Education, Culture and Research Ministry.
The present decision enters into force on the date of publication.
