Difficult circulation on part of Chisinau – Leuseni road

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ – As a result of precipitation in the form of rain and snow in the recent few hours, the drivers and pedestrians are warned to be cautious in traffic. According to the info at 17:00, all the national roads are accessible, while the traffic is carried out in winter conditions. The exception is a part of the Chisinau – Leuseni route, near village Stejareni, where several lorries are blocked according to the police, and they run on a single band.

There are carried out the patrols and works to combat slipperiness on the national roads.

According to the MEI's data, in the technological process there have been trained 38 specialised vehicles, it has been distributed 212 tonnes of anti – skid material and there have participated 16 road workers today.

The employees of the National Patrol Inspectorate (INP) are present on national roads for the surveillance and prevention of traffic incidents. The patrol inspectors warn that there can be formed glazed frost on the road, and visibility decreases due to fog, which increases the risk of road accidents.

Under these circumstances, the drivers are encouraged to travel at low speeds both in and out of localities, to keep a greater distance between cars, so as to succeed in braking maneuver, avoid parking cars near trees, and do not carry out uninsured overtakings. Also, the pedestrians are urged to cross only at pedestrian crossings and not in front of or behind the stopped cars.

Nowadays, some parts of Moldova are still misty and it is snowing. According to meteorologists, abundant precipitation in the form of snow, sleet and rain will be maintained until 13 February and it is expected sunny weather on Thursday.
