Euro to appreciate against Moldovan leu

Chisinau, 18 February /MOLDPRES/ – The European single currency (EUR) appreciates by MDL 0.09 against the Moldovan leu (MDL) on 19 February and has an official price of MDL 19.40.

According to the official exchange rates displayed by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM), the US dollar (USD) will cheapen and reach up to MDL 17.12.

The Romanian leu (RON) will cheapen with MDL 0.02, and the Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH) with MDL 0.01. Thus, the UAH will cost MDL 0.63, and the RON – MDL 04.09.

The Russian rouble (RUB) will be quoted at MDL 0.25, similar like today.

Economic expert, Veaceslav Ionita, has written on his blog today that the Moldovan leu has already made a substantial appreciation for the euro and dollar for the seventh week.
