Straseni, Rezina to receive support for revitalization projects

Chisinau, 21 May /MOLDPRES/- Straseni and Rezina will benefit from technical support in the development of urban revitalization programs. The aid will be granted under a project implemented by the Ministry of Investments and Economic Development of Poland in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment of Moldova and the Representation of the Solidarity Fund PL Foundation.

The mayoralties of the two localities have won the competition organized by the Central Regional Development Agency (ADR Center), held on 26 April-14 May. In total, 6 localities from the center of the country were registered for the competition.

"Urban revitalization refers to less-favored areas, which provides for a cooperative effort between local public authorities, population, civil society and other local actors (business environment, etc.) to improve living conditions, increase environmental quality, social climate and strengthen local economy,” sources in ADR Centre said.

The project, Support to Moldovan administration in implementing the National Strategy of Regional Development for 2016-2020 through integrated and sustainable urban development, is financially supported by the funds of Polish Development Cooperation Program - Polish Aid.
