Moldovan parliament to host meeting of commission on culture, education and social affairs of PABSEC

Chisinau, 18 October /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan parliament will host on 21-22 October the 53rd meeting of the commission on culture, education and social affairs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation. The event will bring together members of PA BSEC and International Secretariat, secretaries of national delegations, representatives of the diplomatic missions of the member states, accredited in our country, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

Speaker Zinaida Greceanii will deliver a speech on the first day of the forum.

The 53rd meeting of the commission on culture, education and social affairs will be inaugurated by its head Metin Gündoğdu. Also, attending the event will be Petru Burduja, head of the Moldovan parliamentary delegation to PA BSEC and Adrian Lebedinschi, chairman of the commission on culture, education, research, youth, sport and media.

One of the most important topics on the agenda of the meeting is the Report Unemployment in the BSEC member states, the role of the state in promoting job creation. Anna Gherganova, head of the migration regulation department of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and Raisa Dogaru, director of the National Agency for Employment will present the views of the respective institutions on the issues addressed in the report.

On the second day, the delegates will participate in the election of the head and deputy heads of the PABSEC culture, education and social affairs committee.

The Republic of Moldova was among the nine countries that, on February 26, 1993, adopted the Declaration on setting up of the Parliamentary Assembly of Black Sea Economic Cooperation. Currently the PABSEC is made up of parliaments of 12 countries in the Black Sea basin, including three EU members.  The areas of cooperation within the organization are mutual trade, energy, social protection, education, culture, environmental protection, tourism, development of local autonomy and infrastructure.
