Cultural projects carried out by non-commercial organizations to receive more money from state budget

Chisinau, 8 November /MOLDPRES/- Cultural projects, carried out by non-commercial organizations and declared successful in the contest announced by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research will receive more money from the state budget. The amount has been doubled and will amount to 200 thousand lei, compared to 100 thousand as it has been until now. The new rule is included in a regulation published on November 8 in the Official Journal of Moldova.

At the same time, the document provides for the increase of the maximum share of the cost of the project to be covered by the ministry, from 50% to 80%, within the limit of the financing ceiling. Thus, the contribution of non-commercial organizations to the project will be 20% of the cost of the initiative.

The regulation also sets out the possibility of participating in the competition of all non-commercial organizations and not only of public associations.

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research has planned for 2019-2021 the allocation of a budget of 5 million lei annually for the development of the cultural projects competition.
