Moldovan PM introduced to State Chancellery's employees

Chisinau, 14 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon has introduced the new prime minister, sworn in office today, Ion Chicu, to the employees of the State Chancellery, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.    

The head of state wished the PM success in his new office and gave assurances that Ion Chicu is a true professional, who knows how the processes work in the country’s administrative apparatus, due to his rich experience in the sector.

„I am firmly sure that, starting from today, you will have additional support in your activity. I wish you success and an efficient cooperation, as the expectations are quite high on behalf of the society, the president, as well as of the parliament. We will overcome all challenges with such a prime minister. I want to assure you that no politics is made at the State Chancellery; politicians come and leave, but the professionals must remain,” Igor Dodon said.  

For his part, the new prime minister thanked for the trust given and appreciated the State Chancellery’s role in the working out of public policies. He urged the employees to continue working with dedication and professionalism.  

„I am confident that, in the current composition, we will cope with the things. I assure you that this is a technocrat government; we will focus exclusively on actions meant to improve the citizens’ living and we will promote efficient policies and, doubtlessly, we will succeed, if we stick to these principles: for the country, devoted, with discipline and professionalism,” the new PM noted.   

Ion Chicu has earlier acted as member of the Administrative Council of the Council of Europe’s Development Bank. Subsequently, he worked as Finance Minister in the Filip cabinet, after which he was appointed Moldovan president’s adviser in the public money sector.
