Euro, U.S. dollar to continue appreciating against Moldovan leu in end of this week

Chisinau, 16 January /MOLDPRES/ - The single European currency and the U.S. dollar are appreciating this week. The National Bank of Moldova (BNM) has announced higher quotations for both currencies for 17 January and the week-end.

According to the official exchange rates posted by BNM, on 17 January, euro will cost 19.47 lei, up by 0.04 lei against today. The dollar will appreciate by 0.02 lei, to an official price of 17.45 lei.

The value of the Romanian will slightly increase too. BNM set an official exchange rate of 4.06 lei for this currency.

The value of the Russian rouble and the Ukrainian hryvnia will remain unchanged. The latter will cost, in continuation, 0.72 lei and the rouble will keep its price of 0.28 lei.

The exchange rates announced by the National Bank of Moldova will be valid till Monday, 20 January.
