COVID -19: 83 people discharged from hospitals in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 23 May /MOLDPRES/ - Forty three people suspected of coronavirus have been put at the COVID-19 Centre in the last 24 hours. On 22 May, 83 people were discharged from hospitals and thus, there are 3,452 people treated of COVID-19.

As many as 6,847 cases of infection with the new Coronavirus have been confirmed in Moldova so far, of whom 859 – in the Transnistrian region.

The health condition of the people infected is as follows: 286 – serious condition (23 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus), 609 – in state of medium seriousness and the other patients are in satisfactory condition.

A number of 1,462 cases of infection among health system employees have been confirmed in Moldova till present, of whom: 343 physicians, 566 medical assistants, 75 doctor’s or surgeon’s assistants, 20 pharmacists, 458 auxiliary staff employees.

At the same time, a new death triggered by COVID-19 has been registered.
