Chisinau, 13 July /MOLDPRES/ - „The epopee with the taking of responsibility by the government for four drafts has ended. Those 72 hours, during which the MPs were able to submit motion of censure, have expired.’’ Prime Minister Ion Chicu today made statements to this effect at the end of a meeting with President Igor Dodon and Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii.

According to Chicu, in late last week, a lawmaker submitted a notification to the Constitutional Court; yet, there has been no decision on this subject so far. ‘’Although I understood that an addressing was submitted by a political to the Constitutional Court on last Friday or Saturday, we will see the evolution; yet, I hope that these drafts, which are so necessary for the citizens and the economy, will enter into force and somebody’s political interests will not affect what the citizens are expecting, first of all,’’ Chicu said.

The PM noted that, under the procedure, those four drafts, on which the government had assumed responsibility, should most likely be submitted to the head of state for promulgation just this week.

MP Igor Munteanu in late last week submitted a notification to the Constitutional Court, thereby asking the high court to give its opinion whether the taking of responsibility by the cabinet had been adopted in constitutional way.
