Hour of Education, Culture ands Research Ministry project launched in Moldova

Chisinau, 26 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Education, Culture and Research Ministry (MECC) launched the MECC Hour project today. The action’s goal is to establish a platform of dialogue in the fields of education, research, culture, youth and sport between experts, practitioners and civil servants of the ministry, with the periodical organization of events of presenting the ministry’s actions, carrying out exchanges of good practices, coordinating measures in the context of the COVID-19 crisis, as well as of conveying key messages.    

The MECC Hour will be held weekly, in accordance with the schedule in sectors: on Tuesday – the Education Hour (18:00), Wednesday – Culture Hour (14:00), Thursday – Youth Hour (18:00), Friday – Sport Hour (18:00) and Saturday Research Hour (10:00).   

Interviews with people from the field, webinars, workshops and other forms of communication will be spread within the project. The activities will be carried out in a real framework: studio, conference hall, education room and will be broadcast online/live on the Facebook page of MECC.  

Attending the first issue of the Education Hour, competent minister Igor Sarov said that the tough reality of the world, under permanent change, imposed clever actions aimed at social adaptation and professional development in new conditions. ‘’We are set, through this project, to be, first of all, as close as possible to the citizens and the MECC Hour is to be the first information source. Presently, our resilience is edified on correct information. An informed man is a strong man,’’ Igor Sarov said.   

The official stressed that the practitioners, the ones who are daily in touch with the problems and success of the fields, had accumulated experience and good practices still too little disseminated and enforced. ‘’Within the project, their voice will be heard. The cooperation with the practitioners and the setting forth of visions about the system, sector is priority in this approach,’’ the education minister noted.   

The main subjects of discussion which are to be tackled within the project are: online pedagogy – a new dimension in the context of the crisis triggered by the pandemic; the crisis of recruiting teachers and the value of young people in the education; the friendly school and the distance learning; research without borders (projects and impact); Open Science and S3; safeguarding, protection and turning to account the immaterial cultural heritage; development of mechanisms of backing the culture in education; opportunities of employment for young people – internship and  training probationary; online safety of young people during pandemic; sports infrastructure in Moldova and facilities for the audience; promotion of specialized sports schools, etc.
