As many as 308 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 26 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,432 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 308 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which five import ones. As many as 71,811 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 18 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –9, medical assistants –9.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 802 are in serious condition, (of whom 43 patients are connected to assisted breathing); 1,249 are in medium seriousness condition, while the other patients are in satisfactory condition.

In the context, 7,208 people are treated at home with easy forms of COVID-19 and 25,220 are under supervision at the domicile.  

Another 440 persons were treated and discharged from hospitals. As many as 52,730 people have been healed of COVID-19 in all.  

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 15 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,700 people dead of coronavirus in all. The virus killed also a 70-year-old physician traumatologist, who worked at the Donduseni District Hospital. Forty eight medical sector employees have died because of COVID-19 so far.
