Chisinau, 23 November /MOLDPRES/- Today Prime Minister Ion Chicu attended a traditional meeting with Acting President Igor Dodon and Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The officials discussed the priorities on the agenda for the next four weeks, especially on the budgetary-fiscal dimension. "By late 2020 we have an urgent need to approve in Parliament the draft fiscal policy policy for 2021 and the draft annual budgets. We will make every effort to have these projects approved by the government by 1 December at the latest. The budget for 2021 has been drawn up on the basis of the same approach as in 2020 with investments in infrastructure and increased level of social payments ", he said.

Chicu noted that 1.7 billion lei will be allocated in the Road Fund in 2021, as this year. Also, the implementation of the Good Roads project will continue, for which 900 million lei are provided.

For 2021, 200 million lei more will be allocated in the National Ecological Fund than this year, namely 500 million lei. The money will be used for water supply and sewerage projects of the localities.

At the same time, salaries will be increased for all employees in public sector in 2021. The medical staff, most of them being financed from the National Medical Insurance Fund will have a 30% higher salary.

Respectively, the means resulting from the mentioned modifications will be transferred to the Local Public Authorities. "It is important they be completed and approved by the end of the year, so that from 1 January the country will have legal coverage for these expenses," Chicu said.
