Moldovan president has working meeting with Prosecutor General

Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu had a working meeting with Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo today.

According to the presidential press service, the discussion was focused on the situation in the justice sector and the way the reform of the law-enforcement institutions is carried out, including the bodies of the Prosecutor’s Office. In particular, the head of state referred to the independence of the actors from the system, as key element of the justice act and as an indispensable condition for regaining the citizens’ confidence in the system.

„I set forth my vision on the justice reform and highlighted the expectations of the citizens in the institution of the Prosecutor’s Office,’’ Maia Sandu said.
