Works to improve water supply services under way in Drochia

Chisinau, 8 April /MOLDPRES/- In Drochia, the works for the rehabilitation and extension of the water supply system continue, under a project implemented by the North Regional Development Agency (ADR) and financed by the European Union. Following the implementation of the project, over 20,000 residents will have access to safe drinking water.

ADR Nord specialists recently paid a monitoring visit to verify the progress of the execution of the works within the project. "Together with the parties involved in the implementation of the project, representatives of the Agency and regional consultants of the Agency for International Cooperation of Germany (GIZ) Moldova traveled to the site of the water pumping station, where they discussed with the designer a series of technical aspects to be taken into account by the contractor responsible for the execution of construction-assembly works. The works are carried out in accordance with the execution schedule ", sources from ADR Nord said.

The works started in early November 2020 and are to be executed by the end of the year. The value of the enterprise contract is 82.87 million lei, of which 5.64 million lei is co-financed by Drochia city hall and 500 thousand lei - by Drochia district council.

The investment measure Improving water supply services in Drochia, carried out by ADR Nord is funded by the European Union in cooperation with the project Modernization of Local Public Services in Moldova, implemented by GIZ Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment and financially supported by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
