Tariffs for electricity consumed during state of emergency likely to be offset by Moldovan state

Chisinau, 16 April /MOLDPRES/- Today MPs approved in the first reading a draft law on compensation of electricity tariffs used by consumers of households.

The document provides for granting electricity compensation to consumers of households, private people for two months - April and May, the state of emergency period.

The compensated amount will be 428 lei - 214 lei per month. The Ministry of Finance will allocate the necessary installments for the compensation in equal amounts, on the accounts of the electricity suppliers, the informative note to the project reads.

The document was set as a social measure for population in the context of state of emergency in Moldova on 1 April -30 May 2021. The necessary means for this purpose are estimated at 532.959 million lei.
