Almost 14,000 citizens resort to ambulance's service in last week

Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 13,966 calls for the providing of emergency medical assistance were registered at the Dispatching Department of the National Centre of Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance on 12-18 April 2021.

According to the Centre’s data, the respiratory emergencies prevail in the structure of calls served – 3,033 calls, followed by cardiovascular emergencies – 2,938 calls, of which 52 in patients with acute coronary syndrome, and neurology emergencies – 1,850 calls, of which 217 cerebral vascular accidents.

A number of 1,127 calls were made at the Emergency Service because of various injuries. Forty three traffic accidents were recorded on Moldova’s roads, in the wake of which 52 people suffered, among whom nine children.
