Over 7,200 contracts on rent registered in Moldova in first months of 2021

Chisinau, 11 June /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 7,231 contracts on rent were registered at the State Fiscal Service (SFS) in January-Months 2021.

According to SFS, 2,645 private people renting real estate were identified on this period.

At the same time, the following payments to the budget were calculated for 311 private people renting real estate and who did not comply with the legal provisions: basic payments – 244,000 lei, penalties – 26,300 lei and fines – 56,600 lei.

The State Fiscal Service reminds that, in line with the provisions of the Fiscal Code, the subjects of the taxation of private persons who do not carry out entrepreneurial activity and transmit in possession/take possession and/or use (rent, lease, usufruct, superficies) real estate, pay income tax worth seven percent of the contract’s monthly value.

The aforementioned people are obliged, in a term of three days after the contract’s conclusion, to register the contract at the State Fiscal Service. This tax is paid monthly, on the date of 25 of the current month at the latest, in the way established by SFS.
