About 11 million lei from bank fraud ended up in state custody

Chisinau, 15 September /MOLDPRES/- The Assets Recovery Agency announced today that it has ensured the transfer to the treasury accounts of the funds amounting to 10.8 million lei, which were on the bank accounts of a local company. The funds were previously seized, owner was Vladimir Plahotniuc.

According to ARBI data, the transfer of funds in state custody will ensure the preservation of their value and integrity, increasing transparency in recovering funds, stolen by Savings Bank, Social Bank and Unibank.

So far, the agency has seized assets amounting to 3 047 253 995.65 MDL - "bank fraud". Currently, the equivalent of 75 457 593.88 MDL, which were seized by ARBI and the law enforcement agencies in the country were set on treasury accounts managed by the agency.
