National contest of fine arts for children nominates winners in Moldova

Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/ - The National Justice Institute (INJ) and the Alexei Sciusev Fine Arts School, on the occasion of the Europe Day and of the entrance into force of the Istanbul Convention, have organized a festivity of awarding prizes to the finalists of the Equality Generation republican contest of fine arts, the third edition. As many as 139 works made by pupils with ages between 11 and 17 years came from all over Moldova to the organizers.
In the beginning of the event, the INJ acting director, Ecaterina Popa, said the 2022 year edition had the goal to promote ideas of inter-human equality and familiarize the young generation with the instruments which ensure the gender equality, including with the Istanbul Convention, which has recently entered into force, on 1 May. Moldova is the 35th country to ratify this document.
The republican contest of fine arts titled, Equality Generation, meant for pupils from general schools, lyceums, gymnasiums, arts schools and art studios from all over the country, was carried out on the period February-May 2022.
