More employees of Gura Bacului control point prosecuted in file on corruption in Moldova

Chisinau, 27 May /MOLDPRES/ - Two employees of the Gura Bacului control point and two policemen working in the control zone are prosecuted in a file on corruption. They would have repeatedly received bribes from carriers, in order to facilitate them the regime of crossing through this customs checkpoint.

Integrity and supervision officers of the Customs Service, jointly with anticorruption officers and prosecutors today morning carried out criminal prosecution actions at the Gura Bacului control point.

Following searches, more electronic devices and relevant documents for the criminal file were raised at the desks placed on the area of the customs checkpoint.

Both the customs officers and policemen are to be called to the National Anticorruption Centre, in order to be heard as suspects.

At the same time, the Customs Service started an internal investigation, in order to establish all circumstances of the case.
