Reintegration policy office commented on incident in Transnistrian region, involving military helicopter

Chisinau, March 25. /MOLDPRES/- Reintegration Policy Office commented on the recent incident in the Transnistrian region, in which a military helicopter was involved.

According to the Reintegration Policy Office, the relevant institutions of the Republic of Moldova have carefully analyzed the video images broadcast on various social networks and in the media from the left of the Dniester. Following the analyzes and information, several conclusions have been set.

"The broadcast materials contain obvious elements of video editing, a fact that infers that the helicopter fire was caused by factors other than the drone that appears in the images. At the same time, the incident was deliberately provoked to create panic and maintain tension in society on both banks of the Dniester," the quoted source said.

"In the absence of the possibility to attack the Republic of Moldova militarily, such actions are aimed at increasing panic, inducing mistrust in society and weakening the economy. We emphasize that such actions have no real consequences and do not represent a real danger for citizens, but are planned only to scare people", it said.

The institution noted that the relevant authorities of the Republic of Moldova, in cooperation with external partners, are carefully following the situation in the region, in order to maintain stability and prevent new challenges.
