Moldovan president talked to mayors of Cimislia and Basarabeasca districts about development of localities, modernisation of roads

Chisinau, April 4 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu met today with Cimislia mayors. The official noted that Cimislia and Basarabeasca districts, through the European Village programme, have managed to implement projects worth about 50 million lei in 20 localities.
"The localities have better infrastructure, greater access to water and sewage, more modernized schools and kindergartens. Further development of villages and upgrading of roads were the main topics of discussion with mayors of these two districts," Maia Sandu said.
The official said that after 30 years since the works stopped, the Government has invested 51 million lei in repairing Sagaidacul Nou road. "Our plan is clear - to develop the economy and increase the quality of life in every locality of the Republic of Moldova," the head of state said.
