Moldovan deputy premier to pay official visit to Washington

Chisinau, April 17 /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popsoi will pay an official visit to Washington on April 18-20, to participate in the meeting of the United States-Moldova Strategic Dialogue.

According to the official, the visit's agenda will also include participation in the Moldovan-American Convention. "In Washington I will have a series of meetings with American officials including U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Richard Verma, Special Assistant to President Biden Michael Carpenter, co-chairs of the US Congressional Friendship Group for Moldova Michael Lawler and Deborah K Ross," Popsoi said.

The Deputy Prime Minister will also deliver a speech at Georgetown University, where he will discuss the reform agenda of the Moldovan government, the consequences of the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine on the region, as well as progress on the path to EU accession.
