Viorel Prisacari, Sângerei entrepreneur: A well thought-out plan and a long-desired dream becomes reality

Chisinau, May 1 /MOLDPRES/- Viorel Prisacari is yet another example from the Republic of Moldova showing the extraordinary potential of our people and resources. In 2014, Viorel decided to return to his native village and set up a goat farm at the entrance to the village of Slobozia Magura. He now delivers organic dairy products to major retail chains across the country.

Asked by MOLDPRES, the entrepreneur told how he laid the foundations of his business and how he plans to develop it here at home in Moldova.

Vorel Prisacari: I built the farm on empty land. I started from the ground up, with an investment of 300 thousand lei, which at the time seemed like a lot of money. Serious construction requires a lot of money, and then I realised that one solution was to find funding from the state or from foreign partners to support local businesses.

At that time there were no such products on the market. They were in the markets, imported, but at unaffordable price for Moldovan consumers. I wanted to provide the market with good, healthy products, just as I wanted my family to have only safe, quality food on the table. Everything we produce on our farm is organic, natural, in accordance with all the requirements of organic goods.

He raises 250 goats and runs a dairy.

We have the necessary high-performance machinery, all technologies are respected. Grants and subsidies are very welcome. From the start I was sceptical whether I would get a grant from the state, but if I didn't have financial support, I would go bankrupt. At present, Vilador organic dairy products can be found on the shelves of several retail chains in the country. In the near future, they could be exported to Romania.

Part of the agro-tourism complex is also a guesthouse, which will accommodate tourists as of May.

The guesthouse will open its doors to tourists in May. They will be able to participate in animal care activities and cheese-making workshops. We want to offer visitors the best and most unique experiences possible. To do this we want to make a tourist area cluster with four other businesses in the region.

In 2023, the European Union has allocated 100 thousand euros for the development of Dealurile Măgurii cluster, which will launch services and increase the competitiveness of the region's tourism offer.

A remarkable achievement is also the Memorandum of Collaboration signed between Moldova State University and Dealurile Măgurii cluster, which aims to strengthen relations between academia and rural tourism industry.

The Memorandum provides for joint efforts to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in order to carry out joint events, such as training sessions, joint projects to attract investment and create new jobs, internships with the possibility of employment for students of Hotel Services, Tourism and Leisure and promotion of institutional image.

We are more confident now because we see extraordinary support from the state. Grants, livestock subsidies are a considerable support.

With already remarkable success Viorel Prisacari is almost certain that Moldova will be prosperous.

I encourage young people to go ahead, because a well thought-out plan and a long-desired dream becomes reality.
