European Commissioner for Budget and Administration says Moldova important partner for EU

Chisinau, 9 May /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova is an important partner for us; therefore, we want a prosperous Moldova in the European Union. European Commissioner for Budget and Administration Johannes Hahn today made statements to this effect at the opening of the official event dedicated to the Europe Day, held on the Great National Assembly Square from Chisinau.

The European official emphasized that the European Union ensured the stability and prosperity on the continent.

„Thank you for opportunity to celebrate with you – the people of Moldova. The Republic of Moldova is a state candidate for accession to the European Union and we will provide it with every support needed in the opening of the negotiations. This is a long way which you are to cover. I assure you that EU will continue the investments for the welfare of the citizens from Moldova,’’ Johannes Hahn stressed.

European Commissioner for Budget and Administration Johannes Hahn is on a visit to Chisinau on the Europe Day, at an invitation by President Maia Sandu. The two officials gave speeches in the opening of the event dedicated to the Europe Day.
