The head of state appreciated the support provided by the Vilnius authorities, especially Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite, for Moldova's European integration.

President Nicolae Timofti said the example of the Baltic States, which had managed to ensure high living standards of the residents after the accession to EU, was a model to be followed by Moldova.

Lithuanian  Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius conveyed a message of solidarity with the people of Moldova in its European integration.

Linas Linkevicius said the Vilnius authorities wanted to provide Moldova with the needed logistic assistance, to facilitate the implementation of the EU standards.
