Young movie-makers of nine countries to participate in international film festival in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ – Young filmmakers from nine countries (Moldova, Austria, Belarus, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania and Ukraine) will participate in the sixth edition of the International Festival of Film Schools "ClassFest" on 21 – 26 November at the Cultural Center "Odeon" in Chisinau.

The event is organized by the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts (AMTAP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the Romanian Cultural Institute "Mihai Eminescu" in Chisinau, the cultural center "Akzente" in Moldova, the Polish Institute in Bucharest and the Institute "Adam Mickiewicz" in Poland.

At a press conference held today in Chisinau, the Festival director, dean of Theatre, Film and Dance of AMTAP Svetlana Tirzah said that for six days, viewers would have the opportunity to watch various films as a genre , aesthetic and stylistic formula presented by students from film schools of the nine participating countries.

According to the cited source, the movies play social conflicts, contradictions political situation and current topics concerning the existential condition of man in contemporary society.

The International Festival of "ClassFest" Film Schools is an international art unique action to students and young people from Moldova, aimed at promoting values ​​of contemporary art, maintain and develop intercultural dialogue and exchange of experiences between film schools to encourage young artists giving them the opportunity to present the best artistic productions.

The official opening of the festival will take place on Monday, 21 November, starting at 18.00, at the Cultural Centre "Odeon", followed by the design of short films made by students at the State University of Theatre and Film "Shota Rustavelli" in Tbilisi, Georgia.
