Moldovan writer's novel published in USA

Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/ – The novel of writer Nicolae Dabija "Tema pentru acasa" (The Homework), which has been edited eight times with a total number of 60.000 copies, which is a record for a book of Romanian prose, translated into more languages ​​and appreciated in France with the prestigious "Prix ​​de l'Autre Edition" award, appeared recently in the United States of America.

Novel "The Homework" was printed by publishing house "Lumina Publishing House" series "Love story collection" in a mass circulation and launched in US bookshops entitled "Resurrection from hell", the English translation being performed by Dr. Nicholas Andronesco, a professor at the University of Stamford, Connecticut.

The novel bears subtitle: "Bessarabia, My Love", with a foreword by which the translator launches globally the "method of Andronesco", a cybernetic-literary analysis a work of art, making parallel and finding many correspondences between novel "The Homework" and play "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare.

The fourth cover of the book contains the opinions on the novel expressed by personalities from different countries. Thus, dr. Anneli Ute Gabanyi, Director of Institute for East European Studies in Berlin (Germany) noted that "the main characters in "The Homework", Maria and Mihai, are models for all humanity" and dr. Justo J. Padrón from Spain, the Nobel Prize candidate for 2016 said: "I am happy for the success of "The Homework" recorded in France and in other places".

At his part, Dr. Jean-Paul Gavar-Perret, poet and literary critic, University of Savoie (France) stated that novel "The Homework" is an "anthem brought to people who know how to win, a handbook fighting all the injustices of the world " and dr. Nicolas Andronesco, poet, nominated in 2007 as the most important scientist of the University of Connecticut, USA said: "The Homework" is a literary masterpiece, which knows how to impress the reader through an amazing love story".

Dr. Jon Cepoi, NASA engineer, USA, found that "this book should become a wonderful film. Synopsis of the story of love is to be submitted to the Department of studio scenarios in Hollywood" and dr. Ognian Stamboliev literary critic of Bulgaria stressed that, "The work of Nicolae Dabija, which I translated into Bulgarian, is indisputably worth of Nobel Prize in literature".

At the end of this book are inserted two bibliographies carried out – author of the book, Nicolae Dabija, and the translator, American professor Nicolas Andronesco.

Dabija was born on 15 July, 1948 in village Biscotari, at present Codreni, Cimislia district. He graduated from the Philology Faculty of the State University of Moldova in 1972. In 1975, he debuted with book "Ochiul al treilea" (The third eye), followed by poetry books: "Apa neinceputa" (The unstarted water), "Zugravul anonim" (The anonymous painter), "Aripa sub camasa" (The wing under the shirt), "Lacrima care vede" (The tear that sees), "Oul de piatra" (The stone egg), "Cerul launtric" (The inner sky), "Taceri asurzitoare" (The deafening silences) etc. He is the laureate of prestigious international festivals of poetry and the Romanian Academy Award. Dabija was awarded the Grand Prize at the International Poetry Festival of Havana, Cuba in February 2017.
