Chisinau, 10 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being Rospotrebnadzor today informed that it allowed the supply of 20 types of wine production from the Cricova wine-making company to Russia, after it had completed the expert examination of documents presented by the company and the laboratory tests, according to a press release by the aforementioned Russian Service.

All the 20 types of wines, presented for expertise have got positive notifications. The communiqué also reads that the export of Moldovan wine production to Russia will be carried out in the single desk regime.

Rospotrebnadzor on 3 March said that five wine-making companies from Moldova had got right to resume exports to the Russian market. Another two producers will be able to increase the range of goods they supply at present. The Russian Federal Service took the decision after it had inspected 13 wine-making companies from Moldova in last mid-February.

Those five wine-making companies from Moldova were to present samples of wines they are willing to export to the Russian market, to get the right to resume exports. The Russian Federal Service accepted the presentation of samples for getting permits for the products delivered to the Russian market by the companies Cricova, Chateau Vartely, CASTEL MIMI, Moldiugvin and Lion-Gri. At the same time, the companies KVINT and KAZAYAK-VIN, which have already got the right to supply goods to Russia, were allowed to present samples of the new production, which had not been earlier exported to Russia.

Data by the Agriculture Ministry shows that 11 companies, preponderantly registered in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, had right to export alcoholic production to the Russian market in early 2017.

The latest restrictions on Moldovan wines were imposed in the autumn of 2013. Afterwards, the embargo was cancelled for several companies from the Transnistrian region. Following the establishment of the embargo in 2013, producers from Moldova missed incomes worth 60 million dollars and oriented themselves to other sales markets.
