Possible solutions for three issues concerning Transnistrian problem identified in Moldova

Chisinau, 08 September /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Gheorghe Balan, has announced that there is a possibility to identify solutions for three issues concerning the Transnistrian pattern. The announcement was made after a meeting with the special representative of the OSCE for the Transnistrian settlement process, Wolf Dietrich Heim, and the political representative of the Transnistrian region, Vitali Ignatiev, today.
At a news conference, Balan said that solutions were found for issues related to telephone interconnection, access of Dubasari farmers to the owned lands and creation of conditions for the proper functioning of schools teaching language in Latin script in Transnistria. "If we succeed in identifying solutions to these issues, then a new round of "5+2" negotiations could be organized. Until then, experts will work on the listed topics," said Balan.
Also, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, there were also discussed topics such as: registration of means of transport in the Transnistrian region, freedom of movement and evacuation from the region of toxic substances that could endanger the health of population.
The recent "5+2" format negotiations took place in Berlin in June 2016.
