Luxembourg supports reforms promoted by government of Moldova

Chisinau, 11 September /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, paying a working visit to Chisinau today.  

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, during the talks, the officials noted the dynamic and ascendant dialogue between Moldova and Luxembourg, pronouncing for the continuity of the tradition of friendship and political support between the states. Similarly, Prime Minister Pavel Filip informed Minister Asselborn about the reforms promoted by the government.

In particular, the Head of the Executive referred to the government's reform and its main purpose to strengthen the capacities of state institutions. "There is the ability to change things in Moldova. We have embarked on an ambitious reform that has as its basic objective the growth of the welfare of the citizens. We are currently focusing on the qualitative implementation of reforms," said Pavel Filip.

Another topic discussed at the meeting is to settle the Transnistrian conflict, which the Premier said has not been a simple issue, and all efforts are channeled to ensure the convenience for the citizens of the region, among them the access of the cars in the area to the international traffic, the apostille of diplomas studies in the Transnistrian region and interconnection of telephone networks.

At his turn, Minister Asselborn said that Luxembourg has supported Moldova in achieving the European integration objective of Moldova and supports the reforms promoted by the government.
