Moldovan, Georgian officials broach bilateral cooperation

Chisinau, 9 October /MOLDPRES/- In the context of participation in the GUAM foreign ministers’ meeting, held on 8 October 2017 in Tbilisi, Georgia, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur had a meeting with Deputy Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Mikheil Janelidze.
According to the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media relations service, the officials have reviewed a string of issues on the agenda of the bilateral political dialogue and expressed openness of both parties to boost the exchange of high-level visits. Also, they discussed the need to strengthen the legal framework.
The ministers also pointed out the need to join efforts to deepen cooperation with EU, taking into account the strategic choice of the nations of the two countries. The officials tackled preparation for the Eastern Partnership Summit in November 2017.
The ministers approached the latest regional and international developments and agreed to continue their mutual support within international organizations.
