Moldovan deputy premier meets ambassador of the United Kingdom

Chisinau, 9 October /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan today had a meeting with Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Moldova Lucy Joyce, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

The officials discussed humanitarian projects implemented with the support of the Great Britain and the need to synchronize efforts to back the residents on both banks of Dniester and remove present barriers.

In the end of the meeting, the deputy prime minister thanked the British side for support provided on the humanitarian branch of the Transnistrian dispute. Balan noted that these actions settled pressing problems faced by the population locally and contributed to the rapprochement between the residents from the two banks of Dniester.
