Moldovan deputy premier meets European officials

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/ –  Deputy Prime Minister, Gheorghe Balan, had a meeting with the Head of the Department for the Eastern Partnership Countries, Dirk Schuebel, and with the head of the European Union Delegation to Moldova, Peter Michalko, today, the office for reintegration policies’ press service has reported.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister informed the European diplomats about the current situation within negotiation process, more aspects of the Chisinau – Tiraspol dialogue and options for solving the existing issues, including in the area of ​​ensuring access to farmers from Dubasari district to agricultural lands and appropriate conditions for Moldovan schools with Latin script teaching, and so on.

At his turn, the European officials reiterated the EU’s support for boosting all formats of negotiations and advancing within Transnistrian settlement process.

Similarly, it was mentioned the necessity of coordinating the actions in order to implement effectively requirements of the Agreement on Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) throughout Moldova and ensure continuity of Programme of Support to Confidence Building Measures (SCBM).
