Chisinau, 27 October /MOLDPRES/- The Republic of Moldova will switch to winter time on the night of Saturday 28 October to Sunday 29 October 2017. So, on Sunday at 03:00 a.m., the clock will be set back one hour in the country and this day will be the longest one of the year.
The change will come under the proposal by the UN European Economic Commission and along with the EU member states.
According to experts, the transition to winter time can cause discomfort and anxiety, because of the body's biological rhythm change. Psychologists argue that the time change is more a psychological problem.
Switching from summer time to winter time occurs in about 70 countries in Europe which observe time difference.
