International festival in memory of two departed light music singers from Moldova nominates laureates

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/ - The 15th issue of the International Light Music Festival „Două inimi gemene. In memoriam Doina şi Ion Aldea-Teodorovici” (Two Twin Hearts. In Memory of Doina and Ion Aldea-Teodorovici), held on 13-15 November, nominated its winners late on 15 November. The Gala of Laureates took place at the Chisinau-based Nicolae Sulac National Palace.    

The winners were nominated by a jury led by TV journalist Gutiera Prodan.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director of the festival, mother of departed Doina Aldea-Teodorovici Eugenia Marin said that 43 competitors had participated in the present issue of the festival (23 at the children’s section and 20 – at the adults’ one) from ten countries: Moldova, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Vietnam, etc.  

“I am quite pleased by the way this year issue was carried out, although it was held with modest financial means. There were good competitors, strong voices, so that we had enough people to choose the winners,” Eugenia Marin said.  

At the 2017 issue of the festival, Erica Musteata from Moldova won the Grand Prix at the children’s section and the Grand Prix at the adults’ section went to Ro Ong Ha Thoai from Vietnam.   

At the children’s section, Anastasia Barba, Adelina Iordachi (Moldova) and Viliana Ivanova (Bulgaria) got the prize I; Maria Godoroja, Arina Badulescu (Moldova) and Ana-Maria Alucai (Romania) were awarded the prize II  and Andreea Tican (Romania), Daniela Turcan and Diana-Camelia Uzun (Moldova) got the prize III.    

At the adults’ category, the prize I was shared between Evelina Abdulayeva (Uzbekistan), Yelyzaveta Maslyukova (Ukraine) and Maria Balabanova (Russia). Rustem Gairianov (Russia), Varvara Semyonova (Russia) and Gusein Imanov (Azerbaijan) were awarded the prize II. Martun Vardanyan (Armenia), Elizaveta Efimenko (Belarus) and Viorela Stoian (Romania) got the prize III.

The jury awarded also special prizes. The competitors were accompanied by the orchestra led by the head of the festival, Cristofor Aldea-Teodorovici.

It is worth mentioning that Pasa Parfeni was awarded the trophy at the first issue of the festival. At the 2016 issue of the festival, Mihaela Stratan from Moldova won the Grand Prix at the children’s section and Yordan Markov from Bulgaria was awarded the Grand Prix at the adults’ category.
