Chisinau, 30 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip, in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, welcomed the progress made in the Transnistrian conflict settlement process. The PM referred to the opening of a bridge linking the settlements Gura Bacului and Bacioc and the singing of four protocol decisions on problems from the Transnistrian region, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

In this respect, the prime minister thanked all people involved in the negotiating process, as well as the five-plus-two format partners, who ensure the balance in the talks held by the authorities and achieving concrete results.

The PM showed confidence that the citizens from both banks of Dniester would feel the positive results following the implementation of the decisions concerning the re-establishment of the fixed and mobile phone connection, ensuring access of farmers to their own lands, apostillization of the documents issued by the higher education institutions from the Transnistrian region and, in particular, the work of the Latin-script schools from the left bank of Dniester.

“Certainly, we have a prudent optimism, as there are more steps to be taken in order to enforce all these protocol decisions; yet, at the same time, we should be happy with this progress,” Pavel Filip added.
